At around 8, our neighbors showed up...The ones we thought were a cute little family. We were wrong. They were all guys...Rico, Clay, and Ollie (more on how we know there names later). We were in bed by 8:30 and were able to sleep until 10:30 (ish). But from that point on, sleep was scarce because the party had started. As Kristen says, we were camped next to an R-rated movie. They were drunk almost all night, music loud, cussing a ridiculous amount (the F word every other word...literally), singing, throwing knives, shooting airsoft guns, etc. Watching drunk guys is entertaining for a while, but it gets old. And trying to sleep next to them is very frustrating. Needless to say, we got about 4 hours of sleep.

They kept talking about this friend of theirs, Jeremiah, who showed up around 12:30-1:00 with three others...Tim, Ashley, and Josh. Things got crazier. Ashley was a little confused why she was the only girl. Hmmm...we were kind of afraid for her. We thought Jeremiah was going to be nice because the others ragged on him so much for seeming too responsible, etc. Not the case. At around 1:30 Jeremiah decided to bring out the weed. We thought it might mellow them out...not the case at all. The party raged on.

Jeremiah and his buddies left around 2:30 and the others (Ollie, clay, and Rico) continued to party. Rico kept saying how “all he wanted was a fight...all he wanted to do was beat someone up.” We kept pretty darn quiet. They kept telling each other the same stories over and over because they had forgotten they already told them...this is super annoying at 4 in the morning. Oh! I almost forgot about the dog. They had a dog, scrappy, who we thought was “crappy” because they wouldn’t say it clearly. It was funny.

From what we deduced, they had about 15 beers each or so. After Jeremiah left, they decided to count what was left. This was super amusing. Rico counted nine and Clay said that meant three each...this really set Rico off with the brilliant comment: “Wow, Clay, you should be a mathematician” which was followed by much giggling. At this point they started throwing up. But they kept drinking...and eating (yucko). Rico sang about his shrimp to the tune of the songs on the radio...Ollie was in and out of bed the whole night...and Clay was just around. He and Rico were the most obnoxious.

At five in the morning they decided to get three hours of sleep. Thank goodness! We had peaceful sleep for two hours. They got up around 7:30 (I still think they should’ve been passed out for longer). Rico was still super loopy. In fact, the others finally said “Hey do yourself a favor and shut up.” We laughed.

The only positive about the night (besides the fact that they didn’t beat us up or anything) was their choice of music. They had classic rock on and switched between it and country.

We packed up camp and left at about the same time as Ollie and Clay (they were going fishing). They left Rico in the tent passed out...I got a picture of their campsite. We really wanted to leave them a note that addressed them each by name. How fun would that have been?! But we didn’t.
